He completed his undergraduate degree from Shenandoah University and advanced graduate training at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, Chamberlain University, and Maryville University. Matt works at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, VT, with the Emergency Department and the Medical Director of Healthworks, an Assertive Community Treatment service embedded with Groundworks Collaborative focusing on medical, psychiatric, and substance use treatment needs. He has also served on the Advisory Council to the Vermont Department of Mental Health development of a 10-year plan for an integrated and holistic system of care. Since 2010, Matt has worked extensively in assertive community treatment, harm reduction, and trauma-responsive care to improve individual and system outcomes.
